Family News:

  1. 2026 Theme: "Abide in Christ, Growing in Love."
    Theme verse: "Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work." (Ephesians 4:15-16, NIV)
  2. Today after worship service at 12:15 p.m., there will be a joint prayer meeting in the sanctuary to pray for CM. All are welcome to attend and make Bethel a prayer driven church.
  3. Deacon Election will be held in-person on Sunday, October 18, 2026, by referendum. Thanks God that Ken Hu, Ivan Liu, and Philip Sheir have accepted nomination to be deacon candidates.
  4. In recent days, the church has discovered leakage in the main roof and will need to carry out Phase II of the roof replacement project (the section above the main sanctuary). The project cost is $39,900. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin on September 8, subject to weather conditions. It will take approximately 2 months for the project to be completed. As the current balance in the Building Improvement Fund is insufficient, the Board of Deacons has resolved to collect a Special Offering for the Main Roof Replacement during the Sunday Services of September and October (a total of two months).
    After the special offering period, brothers and sisters are encouraged to continue supporting the Building Improvement Fund to cover the cost of Phase III (the final phase) of the roof replacement, as well as future building improvement expenses.
    For contributions designated to the “Main Roof Replacement,” please use the Building Improvement Offering Envelope or E‑Transfer, and indicate “RR” on the offering envelope or in the E‑Transfer memo field.
  5. Sep 7 (Mon) is public holiday, the office will be closed.
  6. Rev. Woo will take leave from Sept 9 to 24. During this period, Pr. Peter will temporarily assume the role of Senior Pastor.
  7. Administrative Assistant Mandy Leung is on leave from Aug 24 to Oct 24. During her leave, Sister Zoe Fan will temporarily cover her work.
  8. LEGO Bricks Needed! Kids StoryQuest Media Club starts September 11! We are looking for LEGO bricks for our creative activities. If your family has extra LEGO bricks to donate, we’d greatly appreciate it! Please bring donations to Pastor Grace.
    Kids StoryQuest Media Club will be held on every Friday from Sep 11 to Dec 11 at 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Kids age 8-12 are welcome to join us on a journey of storytelling, creativity, and media making. Registration fee is $50 per child. For program details and registration, please visit our church website or the promotional flyers.
  9. Chinese School is recruiting 3 teachers for the school term 2026-2027. Interested parties can email their application and resume to chinese.school@bethelmb.org. Details are also available on our church website (www.bethelmb.org).

  4. 近日教會發現主屋頂出現漏水，需進行第二期更換工程（主禮堂屋頂部分），工程費用為$39,900。工程暫定於 九月八日 開始施工，視乎天氣而定, 工程預計需要大約兩個月。由於樓宇改善工程基金存款不足，執事會議決於 九月及十月各主日（兩個月） 收集「更換主屋頂」特別奉獻。
    特別奉獻完成後，鼓勵弟兄姊妹繼續支持樓宇改善工程基金，以支付第三期（最後一期）屋頂更換費用，以及未來樓宇改善相關支出。
    特別奉獻「更換主屋頂」時，請使用 樓宇改善奉獻封 或 電子轉帳（E‑Transfer），並在奉獻封或電子轉帳備註欄註明 「更換屋頂」 或 「RR」。
