2026 Theme: "Abide in Christ, Growing in Love." Theme verse: "Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work." (Ephesians 4:15-16, NIV)
Today after worship service at 12:15 p.m., there will be a joint prayer meeting in the sanctuary to pray for EM. All are welcome to attend and make Bethel a prayer driven church.
2026 Annual General Meeting was successfully held last Sunday, June 28. At the meeting, voting was held to elect non-deacon members to join the senior pastor and 2 deacons to form the Nomination Committee to nominate candidates for 2027 new Deacons. Hon Ng received the highest number of votes (82 votes). Both Ken Hu and Edward Tsang received the second highest number of votes, with each of them receiving 60 votes (i.e., same number of votes). Deacons Board carefully studied Bethel’s Bylaws after the AGM; specifically, Bylaw 11.1. Since Hon Ng, Ken Hu, and Edward Tsang received the two highest number of votes during the election, the Board determined that all three of them were elected as the non-deacon members to join the Nomination Committee. As both Ken Hu and Edward Tsang were elected, no further election will be held in this regard. Accordingly, 3 non-deacon members, Hon Ng, Ken Hu and Edward Tsang, were elected to join the senior pastor, Rev. Woo, and 2 deacons, Ivan Liu and Yi Jun Tan, to form the Nomination Committee to nominate candidates for 2027 new Deacons.
Our 2026 Children's Summer Camp will be held from August 10 to 21, and will be using cardboard toilet paper rolls and cardboard paper towel rolls for some of the activities. If you have any empty cardboard rolls, please place them in the collection box labeled "Paper Roll Collection" in the church office. Thank you for your support!
