Family News:

  1. 2026 Theme: "Abide in Christ, Growing in Love."
    Theme verse: "Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work." (Ephesians 4:15-16, NIV)
  2. Please take note that next Sunday is Easter Joint Worship, which will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the main sanctuary.
  3. The Passover Seder and Meditation will be held on April 2 (Thurs) at 7:00 p.m. in the basement. Today is the last day to purchase tickets: $15 per adult and $7 per child (ages 4-12). Capacity is limited to 80 people on a first-come, first-served basis.
    Reflecting on the 2015 Passover lunch, Bethel would like to clarify the following three points to ensure the purpose of this gathering is understood:
    • No Obligation: Christians are not required to observe or celebrate Passover, as Christ, our sacrificed Lamb, has been offered once and for all.
    • Focus on Christ: The primary focus of this dinner is to meditate on Christ's final interactions and dialogues with His disciples before His suffering.
    • Educational Experience: The dinner serves as a form of "activity-based teaching," helping the congregation gain a deeper understanding of the timeline leading up to the Passion of Christ.
    All attendees are asked to arrive before 6:45 p.m. Meeting will start promptly at 7:00 p.m.
  4. MBCCA Joint Good Friday Service will be held on April 3, 2026 @ 10 a.m. CM and EM will be gathering at Fraserview MB Church. MM will be gathering at Pacific Grace MB Church.
  5. The Cantonese Alpha Course will run from April 13 to July 13, every Monday (except public holidays) from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the basement, for 13 weeks. The course is designed for working young adults and the digital generation (ages 18-35) to explore God’s message of salvation. Brothers and sisters are encouraged to invite non-believing friends and family. For details and registration, please visit www.bethelmb.org.
  6. Alpha Course training for helpers will be held on Mondays, March 30 and April 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room. All helpers are requested to attend on time.
  7. Registration for our 2026 Kids Summer Camp has begun! Scan the QR code to download the form, visit our website to register, or contact Pastor Grace for more information.
  8. There will be an apologetics talk today at 2:00 p.m. in the multifunctional room. All are welcome.
  9. CM Prayer Meeting will be held on April 1 (Wed) from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. via Zoom to pray for Pastoral Team. All are welcome to attend and make Bethel a prayer driven church. Please contact church office for Zoom link information.
  10. Second Quarter (April to June) CM Sunday School, please register in the church office.
    1. "Experiencing God" (Unit 2: "Focusing on God")
      Instructor is Brother William To. Starts on March 29, 2026 (this Sunday) at 12:15 p.m. Brothers and sisters are warmly invited to participate, learn together, and encourage one another!
    2. "Bible Study Leader Training Course"
      Instructor is Pr. Helen Lui. Starts on April 12, 2026. Upon completion, participants are expected to have the confidence to lead Bible studies and write their own Bible study materials.
      Qualifications (must meet at least two of the following):
      • Have attended a Book Study Sunday School; desire to become a Bible study leader; have experience leading Bible studies; or have a regular habit of reading the Bible.
      • Brothers and sisters are also welcome to audit the class and learn together.
  11. As of March 22, we has received 30 missions pledge forms, totaling $25,660. Thank you to those who filled them out; may the Lord increase your faith and strength. Please also continue to pray for the $84,100 needed for the missions budget.
  12. MBCCA will host a family camp at Stillwood Camp and Conference Center in Chilliwack from July 31, 2026 (Fri) to August 3, 2026 (Mon). This camp is primarily an outreach initiative to help churches across MBCCA to rejuvenate the Children’s Ministry. Please pray for young families in your social network with children aged 6-12 to go on retreat together. For more information, please contact Pastor Peter.
  13. SOBEM will hold a "Thanksgiving Dinner" on April 19, 2026 (Sun) at 6 p.m. For those interested, please contact Rev. Woo.
