Deacon Election was successfully held on last Sunday, September 21. 166 active members were eligible to vote, and a total of 127 ballots were returned which exceeded the required quorum of 100 returned ballots. (Candidate must receive at least 60% of the total returned ballots, that is 76 votes, to be effectively elected.) “Yes” votes received as follows: Angela Chan: 80 Amy Cheung: 54 Gary Choi: 78 Benjamin Kaan: 104 Edward Tsang: 54 Angela Chan, Gary Choi and Benjamin Kaan received more than 60% of the votes and were elected as deacons to serve a 2-year term (2026-2027).
Deacons Board originally planned to hold a farewell party for Pastor Tommy on October 19 or 26 before his leave at the end of October. However, the Board respects his request and has rescheduled the farewell party to November 2. The Joint Prayer Meeting for mission month after worship service on that day will be cancelled.
A new CM Sunday school session will begin today at 12:15 p.m. Mrs. Woo will teach Genesis (Part 2).
A Grandparents' Meeting will be held after the Cantonese Worship Service today. Come enjoy a time of fellowship over simple refreshments, along with a special grandparent testimony and a short presentation.
CM Prayer Meeting will be held on October 1 (Wed) from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. via Zoom to pray for those who will be baptized. Congregants are welcome to attend and make Bethel a prayer driven church. Please contact church office for Zoom link information.
EM Christian Education will begin Bible Study on the Gospel of Mark on Zoom every Wednesday night @ 7 p.m. for 10 sessions starting this Wednesday, Oct 8. It is ideal for new believers, seekers, and those who would like to renew their faith. If you know of a friend, family member, or coworker, who is interested in knowing Jesus Christ, please encourage them to sign up with Pastor Peter.
A joint worship service will be held next Sunday (Oct 5) to celebrate Bethel's 47th Anniversary. To express our heartfelt gratitude to God's unceasing love, caring and leading, there will group photo after service and an anniversary celebration cake-cutting tea party in the basement. Congregations are welcome to join the celebration after service.

Bethel plans to begin offering official donation receipts for income tax purposes via email starting next year. If you wish to receive your tax receipt by email, please complete the “Consent Form for Receiving Official Donation Receipts via Email”, clearly indicating your authorization for email delivery. The signed form should be submitted by placing it in one of the designated collection boxes located on either side of the sanctuary stage, no later than October 19, 2025. If you need to make any changes to your consent in the future, you may request a “Request for Change” form from the Church Treasurer or Office. Once the form is completed and signed, please return it to the Church Treasurer for processing.
