Family News:

  1. Theme 2024: "Walk with Jesus with actions and in truth"
    Theme verse: "Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." (1 John 3:18)
    Sub-theme for Spring (Jan - Mar): "Walk with Jesus, live out faith"
    Sub-theme verse: "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." (Hebrews 11:6)
  2. An Extra-ordinary Membership Meeting will be held in-person on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at 11:30 AM after the Cantonese Sunday Worship Service in the main sanctuary. The Family Forum will be incorporated as part of this Extra-ordinary Membership Meeting. An active member can authorize another active member by proxy to represent him/her in the AGM. Each active member can carry a maximum of three (3) proxies at each meeting. For details, please refer to the Notice and agenda of the Extra-ordinary Membership Meeting that are posted on the bulletin board and on our church website (www.bethelmb.org).
  3. Missions Department will be organizing a visit to New Hope Community Services Society on Thursday February 22, 2024 at around 6:00 PM to serve the new immigrants and refugees there. We will be planning activities, preparing and serving food, and engaging in casual conversations that evening. Please don't miss this opportunity to get to interact with some of the people from other ethnic groups. For registration or enquiry, please contact the pastoral team.
  4. Bethel Chinese School: The 2nd term Cantonese classes will start on February 3, Saturday 10:00 AM to 12:15 PM. Children aged 3 and above are welcome to enroll. For enquiries or registration, please email the Chinese school: chinese.school@bethelmb.org or call the church: 604.434.8227 or download the registration form on the church Chinese school webpage.
  5. Kidz Ministry's Discovery Club will begin on Feb. 3 (Sat.) from 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM. Kids will learn about God through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Projects. Welcome Grade 2-5 kids to join. Cost: $50 per kid. Space is limited. For inquiry & registration, please contact Rev Alice Leung.
  6. The 2024 "Worship Thanksgiving Flower Presentation Form" has been posted at the entrance of the lobby. Brothers and sisters are welcome to give flowers for special days of thanksgiving. Please write your name on the "Flower Presentation Form". More than one family can participate in the flower donation each week, and the amount of each flower donation is still $50.
  7. Julie will extend her sick leave till January 30. We need volunteers to help the making of Chinese bulletin and power-point. Please contact pastors or Worship Department head for details.

  2. 本堂將於2024年1月21日(主日)上午11時半在粵語主日崇拜後在禮堂以實體方式舉行特別會友大會。家事分享會將納入為此次特別會友大會的一部分。常到會友可用委託書，委託另一位常到會友代表出席會友大會。每一位常到會友，在每次會議中，可持有最多三份委託書。詳情請查閱已刊登在佈告板和教會網站上(www.bethelmb.org)的特別會友大會的開會通知和大會議程。
  3. 差傳部探訪難民家庭的跨文化體驗：差傳部正安排於2024年2月22日(星期四) 約晚上六時，到素里市一所難民服務中心有跨文化體驗，歡迎弟兄姊妹報名參與。我們將會預備膳食和一些遊戲活動，在輕鬆的氣氛之下接觸其中遷移到溫市的難民家庭，與他們交流。請不要錯過這個能夠與其他種族群體交流互動的機會。報名或查詢，請聯絡教牧團隊。
