Notice of Deacon Election:

TO: Members of Bethel Chinese Christian MB Church

  1. The Board of Deacons resolved that the number of deacons in 2027 shall be seven. There will be four openings on the Board of Deacons next year.
  2. Thanks be to God! Ken Hu (胡建文), Ivan Liu (廖廣泉), and Philip Sheir (佘樂謙) have accepted the nomination and will become candidates to the 2027-2028 Deacons Board. Biographies of the candidates have been posted on the bulletin board.
  3. Deacon Election will be held in-person on Sunday, October 18, 2026. by referendum. On Election Day, active members can vote at church after Mandarin worship service or after Cantonese/English worship service. Election will end at 1:00 p.m. on the same day.

Please pray for the Deacon Election and vote on October 18, 2026.

Notes:

  • To be elected, candidates must receive a minimum of 60% of the votes.
  • A quorum of 60% of active members is required for the election. If quorum is not reached on October 18, another election will be held on October 25, 2026.
  • Voting by proxy is not permitted in the election.

敬啟者：

  1. 執事會議決2027年度執事人數為七人。明年執事會會有四個空缺。
  2. 感謝神！胡建文 (Ken Hu)、廖廣泉 (Ivan Liu)、佘樂謙 (Philip Sheir) 已接受提名，成為2027-2028年度執事候選人。候選人簡介已刊登在公告板上。
  3. 執事選舉將於2026年10月18日(主日)以實體「全會友投票」方式舉行。常到會友可於選舉日在國語崇拜之後或粵語崇拜/英語崇拜之後在教會投票。選舉將於當日下午1時結束。

請為執事選舉祈禱，並於2026年10月18日投票。

註：

  • 執事候選人需至少得到投票人數的百分之六十贊成，方能當選。
  • 投票人數需達到常到會友人數之百分之六十，若10月18日未能達到這投票人數要求，則會在2026年10月25日再舉行投票。
  • 選舉不允許使用委託書投票。
