Family News:

  1. 2026 Theme: "Abide in Christ, Growing in Love."
    Theme verse: "Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work." (Ephesians 4:15-16, NIV)
  2. Today after worship service at 12:15 p.m., there will be a joint prayer meeting in the sanctuary to pray for MM. All are welcome to attend and make Bethel a prayer driven church.
  3. Church Picnic will be held on Aug 23 (Sun) at Vancouver Riverfront Park Picnic Site. Lunch cost is $15 for adults, $7 for children (age 4-11), free for children under age 4. Participants please bring your own drinks, folding chairs, hats and sunscreen. Registration starts today in the basement after worship service. Space is limited to 120.
  4. Deacon Nomination/Election arrangement as follows:
    1. The Board of Deacons resolved that the number of deacons in 2027 shall be seven. This year, there are a total of seven deacons. Yi Jun Tan will have served two consecutive terms by the end of this year (not eligible to be re-elected); Ivan Chiu, Ivan Liu, and Roy Tang will have served their first term by the end of this year (eligible to be nominated). Therefore, there will be four openings next year.
    2. The Deacon Nomination Committee has already met and nominated 29 brothers and sisters in accordance with Bethel’s Bylaws section 11, Acts 6:3, and 1 Timothy 3:1-13. The list of nominees is posted on the bulletin board. All the nominees are required to submit their reply by August 30, 2026.
    3. Two active members may jointly nominate other active members by first submitting the names to the Deacon Nomination Committee, then a written consent must be signed by the nominee, and such nomination must then be submitted to the Deacon Nomination Committee no later than 12:00 noon on August 16, 2026.
    4. Deacon Election will be held in-person on Sunday, October 18, 2026, by referendum.
  5. Aug 23 is CM & MM Gospel Sunday, theme is "Who Holds Our Life," Rev. James Hung will be the speaker. Please invite your non-believer friends and relatives to attend.
  6. Registration for August to November CM Sunday School is now open, please register in the church office.
  7. Kids StoryQuest Media Club will be held on every Friday from Sep 11 to Dec 11 at 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Kids age 8-12 are welcome to join us on a journey of storytelling, creativity, and media making. Registration fee is $50 per child. For program details and registration, please visit our church website or the promotional flyers.
  8. Children's Summer Camp needs additional volunteers to help out on Aug 12, 13, 19, 20. If you are available to serve on any of these dates, please contact Pastor Grace.
  9. Chinese School is recruiting 3 teachers for the school term 2026-2027. Interested parties can email their application and resume to chinese.school@bethelmb.org. Details are also available on our church website (www.bethelmb.org).
  10. Chinese School is now accepting registration for new students for the first term of the 2026-2027 school year. Children aged 4 and above are welcome to apply. For information, flyers are available at the church office or please contact Chinese School at chinese.school@bethelmb.org

  2. 今天粵語崇拜後12時15分於大堂有聯合祈禱會，為國語事工禱告，請會眾預留時間出席，讓頌主堂成為一間禱告的教會。
  3. 教會大旅行定於8月23日(主日)在溫哥華 Riverfront Park Picnic Site 舉行。午餐費用為成人$15，兒童(4-11歲)$7，4歲以下小童免費。參加者請自備飲料、摺椅、帽子和防曬油。今天開始，會眾可於崇拜後到土庫報名及繳費，名額120人，額滿即止。
  4. 8月23日為福音主日，主題為「誰掌管人生」，由洪順強牧師主講，歡迎邀請未信親友出席。
  5. 執事提名/選舉安排如下：
    1. 執事會議決2027年度執事人數為七人。本屆執事共有七位，譚毅君執事兩屆任期將於本年底屆滿 (不能連任)，廖廣泉執事、趙子文執事和鄧錦榮執事第一屆任期將於本年底屆滿 (可再被提名為執事候選人)，故明年共有四個空缺。
    2. 執事提名委員會已召開會議，並根據本堂章則第十一項，及使徒行傳6章3節和提摩太前書3章1-13節，提名29位執事候選人，該名單已張貼在佈告版上。被提名會友須於2026年8月30日前回覆是否接受提名。
    3. 常到會友中如有兩位聯名推舉其他常到會友為執事候選人，必需先與執事提名委員會洽商，然後還須該候選人書面同意，之後提交執事提名委員會彙集，截止日期為2026年8月16日中午12時。
    4. 執事選舉將於2026年10月18日(主日)以實體「全會友投票」方式舉行。

  7. 兒童StoryQuest媒體俱樂部將於9月11日至12月11日逢星期五晚上7時半至9時舉行，歡迎8–12歲小朋友參加，一同踏上創意媒體製作的學習旅程。報名費用為$50元正，詳情及報名，請瀏覽教會網站或宣傳單張。
