親愛的弟兄姊妹：

2025年很快過了三份之二，踏入8月更是忙碌的開始，首先我們有8月11至22日兩星期的兒童暑期日營。頌主堂許久沒有辦兒童暑期活動了，感恩今年有20位兒童參加每星期的日營，更歡迎你隨時來探望，感受一下歡樂的吵嚷。請為之後的跟進工作禱告，希望能吸引兒童及家長留在頌主堂聚會，一同在真道上被建立。8月24日有教會的大旅行，歡迎會眾邀請親友及許久沒有返頌主堂的肢體出席，讓他們再次感受一下頌主堂的熱情和溫馨，並與其他肢體更緊密結連。神呼召拯救我們，是要建立一個屬祂的群體，而不是一個個的孤島。

CM 9月8日，逢星期一將舉辦啟發課程，我們希望能透過啟發，吸引慕道朋友信主及固定聚會。CM 9月21日亦會開始新一季(9-12月)的主日學，由胡師母繼續未完的創世記。10月3日(五)晚上有中秋燈謎晚會，今年我們會將燈籠及燈謎也擺放在教會外，好吸引附近街坊參與活動，並讓街坊知道教會的存在。10月5日是頌主堂47週年堂慶，願頌主堂永遠成為頌讚主的教會，更願我們天天過著頌讚主，討主喜悅的生活。10月12日是教會年度的聯合浸禮，今年EM有6位，CM有1位預備受浸，請為他們的準備和心志禱告。當知道EM有這麼多青年人準備受浸，我是打從心裡為他們感恩的，更為神加給我們得救的人歡呼。

11月8日(六)全日有事奉人員退修會，門諾弟兄會非常注重群體的決策和問責。 牧師未上任前也曾分享出埃及雲柱火柱的事件，教會要萬眾一心，眾志成城的前進，不是單靠主任牧師的異象和推動，更重要的是一起看見神在我們前面帶領，四圍的保護，我們只是努力的跟隨。這也是門諾弟兄會的信仰核心，基督徒是一生跟隨主，聽主話的門徒。因此，請所有曾參與事奉的，無論什麼崗位，你都會出席，一同探討和計劃2026年的教會方向及事工。11月9日和16日是教會的差傳雙週，11月14日(五)晚上有認識旁遮普族工作坊及11月15日(六)中午的錫克廟參觀。今年教會的差傳主題是 ｢走走看看差情尋｣，盼望走出去，我們看見旁遮普人及錫克教徒的需要。12月更是將臨期各項聚會及活動的高峰， 盼望頻繁的活動不會讓你感到消耗，反而讓你靈命增益。

約翰在啟示錄14:13記著: 我聽見從天上有聲音說：「你要寫下：從今以後，在主裏面而死的人有福了！」聖靈說：「是的，他們息了自己的勞苦，做工的果效也隨著他們。」什麼是「做工的果效」？耶穌在約翰福音6:29清楚的說：「信神所差來的，這就是做神的工。」你或許會高興地以為信是一件簡單的事，但約翰福音卻告訴我們信並不簡單容易。約翰非常強調信仰是行動，因此整卷約翰福音都使用信的動詞，而不用信的名詞。約翰提醒我們，要天天在生活中表現你是接待祂、跟隨祂、聽從祂和遵行祂吩咐的人。信仰絕不是頭腦的認知，是你天天與神的關係和遵從的行動。你有沒有天天做神的工？就是天天在生活中讓人看見你是跟隨主的信仰行動。求主幫助我們，連於基督，因為離了主，我們便不能做什麼。(約15:5)

Dear brothers and sisters,

Two-thirds of 2025 has already passed, and as we step into August, a busy season begins. First, we have the two-week Kids’ Summer Day Camp from August 11 to 22. It’s been a long time since Bethel has hosted a Kids’ summer program, so we are grateful that 20 children are participating each week. You are warmly invited to drop by at any time to experience the joyful bustle. Please pray for the follow-up work — we hope to draw the children and their parents to stay and regularly attend gatherings at Bethel, so that together we may be built up in the truth. On August 24, we will have our church’s picnic. We encourage the congregation to invite friends, family, and those who haven’t returned to Bethel for a while, so they can once again experience the warmth and passion of our church family and be more deeply connected with the body. God has called and saved us to build a people for Himself — not isolated individuals.

On September 8, CM will launch an Alpha Course on Monday afternoons, aiming to reach seekers and help them come to faith and become regular attendees. CM’s new Sunday School (September to December) will also begin on September 21, with Si Mo continuing the unfinished study on Genesis. On the evening of October 3 (Friday), we will host a Mid-Autumn Lantern Riddle Night. This year, we’ll place lanterns and riddles outside the church building to attract neighbors in the area and raise awareness of our church’s presence. October 5 marks the 47th anniversary of Bethel. May Bethel always be a congregation that meets & praises the Lord, and may each of us live daily lives that glorify God and bring Him delight. On October 12, we will have our joint baptism service. This year, EM has 6 candidates and CM has 1 candidate preparing for baptism. Please pray for their preparation and commitment. Knowing that so many young people in EM are ready to be baptized fills my heart with gratitude — and I rejoice that God continues to add to our number those who are being saved.

On Saturday, November 8, we will have a full-day retreat for all ministry helpers. The MB highly value communal discernment and accountability. Even before I became Senior pastor at Bethel, I shared about the cloud and fire pillars events in Exodus. For the church to move forward with one heart and mind, we cannot rely solely on the senior pastor’s vision and promotion. What matters most is seeing together that God is leading ahead of us and protecting us on all sides. Our role is to faithfully follow. This reflects the core belief of the MB — that Christians are lifelong disciples of Christ who follow and obey Him. Therefore, we ask everyone who has served & helped in any capacity to attend this retreat, where we will reflect and plan the church’s direction and ministries for 2026. November 9 and 16 will be our church’s Missions Bi-Weeks. On the evening of Friday, November 14, we will have a workshop on understanding the Punjabi people, followed by a visit to a Sikh temple at noon on Saturday, November 15. This year’s mission theme is: “Go, See, and Seek the Harvest.” May we go out and truly see the needs of the Punjabi and Sikh communities. December will be the height of the Advent season, filled with gatherings and activities. May the frequency of events not wear you down but rather enrich your spiritual life.

Revelation 14:13 says, "Then I heard a voice from heaven say, 'Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.' 'Yes,' says the Spirit, 'they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.'" What are the “deeds”? Jesus clearly said in John 6:29, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” You might happily think that believing is something simple — but John’s Gospel tells us it is not so easy. John emphasizes that faith is action. The entire Gospel uses the verb form of “believe,” never the noun. John reminds us to show daily, through our lives, that we are people who receive Him, follow Him, listen to Him, and obey His commands. Faith is never just intellectual acknowledgement — it is a daily relationship with God expressed in obedient action. Are you doing God’s work every day? That is, are you showing through your daily life that you are following Jesus? May the Lord help us to remain in Christ — for apart from Him, we can do nothing. (John 15:5)
