Family News:

  1. 2025 Theme: "Abide in Christ, Renewal in life."
    Theme verse: "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." (John 15:5, NIV)
  2. Today is Mother's Day. We wish all mothers healthy, joyful and safe! As a warm regard, Bethel has prepared a small gift to present to every mother.
  3. CM Prayer Meeting will be held on May 14 (Wed) from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. via Zoom to pray for sisters. Congregants are welcome to attend and make Bethel a prayer driven church. Please contact church office for Zoom link information.
  4. Plan to Protect® Committee will be holding an in-person orientation training workshop on May 17 (Sat) from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Bethel. The workshop will be conducted in Cantonese and will present to brothers and sisters who are serving children, youth, and vulnerable adults at Bethel about Bethel's abuse prevention policy and the best practices to protect these vulnerable persons and the serving personnel. All interested Bethel congregants are welcome to attend.
  5. The Vancouver Oratorio Society will hold a Spring Concert on May 25 (Sun) at 7:30 p.m. at Evangelical Chinese Bible Church. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.
  6. The Mission Department will visit the Lighthouse Harbour Ministries on May 30 (Fri) at 10:30 a.m. Those who are interested in attending are welcome to register at the office.
  7. Please pray for Rev. David Poon and his wife as they go on a short-term mission trip to Panama. They will depart on May 12, first visiting relatives in New York, then going to Panama on May 16, and returning to Vancouver on June 9. Rev. Poon will preach in four churches and lead the "Spiritual Leader Training Course - Sharing of Bible Reading Experience", visit local missionaries and churches, and sincerely ask for your prayer.
  8. The kitchen in the basement is closed for renovation until it is completed. Please be careful when entering and leaving the basement.
  9. Pastor Tommy will be off on May 5-12.
  10. Administration Assistant Julie Su will take sick leave from April 4 to May 30.

  7. 請為潘士宏牧師師母前往巴拿馬短宣禱告，他們將於5月12日起程，先到紐約探訪親人，5月16 日去巴拿馬，6月9日返回溫哥華。潘牧師將在四間教會證道及主領「屬靈靈袖訓練課程——讀經心得分享」，探訪當地宣教士及教會，懇請代禱。
