We are seeking a passionate part-time pastor to spiritually lead, grow, and strengthen the faith of the Mandarin-speaking congregation of our church and community. As a member of the pastoral team, this role includes preaching the Gospel, promoting the spiritual interest of the church, building relationships of faith and trust between various ministries, engaging with the community, and organizing and developing the church’s strength for the best possible service within the BC Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches and for the glory of God. Duties include preaching, teaching, organizing church activities and events, and engaging and supporting congregants to strengthen their faith and overcome challenges.

Successful Candidate Qualifications:

• Has vision for growing the Mandarin Ministry of our church
• Fluent in Mandarin
• 3+ years of pastoral experience in Christian churches
• Adherence to the theological position of the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren (MB) Churches

• Theological degree from an accredited school
• Approximately 30 work hours each week
