  1. Theme 2024: "Walk with Jesus with actions and in truth"
    Theme verse: "Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." (1 John 3:18)
    Sub-theme for Spring (Jan - Mar): "Walk with Jesus, live out faith"
    Sub-theme verse: "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." (Hebrews 11:6)
  2. Palm Sunday is the Sunday before Resurrection Sunday, commemorating the day when the Lord Jesus Christ rode a donkey into Jerusalem and was greeted by the people holding palm branches and cheering Hosanna, as if they were welcoming a king. The celebration of this day by churches often takes the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ as the theme. At the same time, it also commemorates the beginning of the Passion Week of Jesus, who was betrayed on Thursday night and tried and killed on Friday.
  3. Prayer meeting will be held at 11:30 am after CM Service in the sanctuary focusing on Chinese School ministry. Welcome all to join and pray for the church and let us be a prayer-driven church.
  4. Bethel Good Friday Commemoration Service will be held at Bethel basement on Mar. 29 (Fri) at 10:00 am. Please sign up at the office or through fellowship, and indicate if you will attend the feet washing ceremony. If yes, please bring your own towel.
  5. 2024 MBCCA Joint Good Friday Service “Gethsemane” will be held at Fraser Lands Church (3330 SE Marine Dr, Vancouver, BC) on March 29, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Please join and remember Jesus' suffering and His saving grace together. For details, please refer to the poster.
  6. March 31 will be a Joint Easter Service, held at the sanctuary at 10:00 am. Please prepare your heart to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus.
  7. On February 24, 2024, the Board of Deacons received a formal resignation from Tommy Yuen stepping down as the principal of Bethel Chinese School, with the resignation to take effect at the end of the current school year or when a new principal is hired, whichever is earlier. The Board of Deacons has accepted Tommy's resignation, and appreciates his work as the Chinese School principal since 2019. Bethel Chinese School will start the process to recruit a new principal.
  8. Deacon By-Election and Referendum:
    Deacon By-election will be held in-person on Sunday, April 14, 2024. An in-person referendum regarding the proposal to change Sunday worship service time will also be held on the same day at the same time. On April 14, active members can vote at church after Mandarin worship service or after Cantonese worship service. Voting for both the by-election and the referendum will end at 1:00 p.m. on the same day. Notice of Deacon By-election and Notice of Referendum are posted on the bulletin boards and on Bethel’s website (www.bethelmb.org), please read the notices on the bulletin boards and the website for details.
  9. Membership Transfer Ceremony will be held on Apr. 28, 2024. Please fill out and submit your membership application form to be a Bethel member.
  10. Mar. 29 (Fri) & Apr. 1 (Mon) are Good Friday and Easter holidays. Church office will be closed.

  2. 棕樹主日是復活主日前的一個主日，記念主耶穌基督於此日騎驢入耶路撒冷，受到民眾手持棕樹枝歡呼和散那，如迎君王般的禮遇。因此，教會對此日的慶祝，往往以主耶穌基督的榮耀為主題。同時，也是記念耶穌受苦週的開始，星期四晚被賣，星期五被審受害。
  3. 崇拜後上午11:30於禮堂有祈禱會，為中文學校祈禱，歡迎弟兄姊妹留步參加，踴躍為教會事工守望禱告，讓頌主堂成為禱告的教會。
  4. 頌主堂受苦節默想會將於3月29日(週五)上午10:00點在土庫舉行。請參加者於辦公室或各團契報名，並填寫是否參與洗腳環節，如參與，請自備毛巾。
  5. 門諾弟兄會華聯會「受苦節聯合崇拜」將於3月29日(週五)晚上7:00至晚上9:00舉行。主題為 「客西馬尼園」。地點：在 Fraser Lands Church (3330 SE Marine Dr, Vancouver, BC)。鼓勵弟兄姊妹一同參與，默念耶穌基督為我們受死，賜下救恩。詳情請參閱海報。
